A Tradition Begins... 

In the fall of 2007, the Seminole Student Boosters initiated a school-wide campaign promoting school spirit and tradition. Initiator and then Student Booster President, Joe Mahshie lead the campaign along with 07-08 Student Body President Joe O’Shea  to unify all Seminoles under the same values of Tradition, Respect, Unity, and Excellence. TRUE Seminole is a multi- faceted campaign with the T- Shirt program, the Burning Spear Drum Tour, Bobby’s TRUE Seminole Tailgate and furthering the many great Florida State traditions.  

The TRUE Seminole T-shirt is the official game day t-shirt for Florida State Football. Five dollars from every shirt sold goes back to the students and traditions of Florida State. On game day, fans and students fill the stands with garnet, wearing their t-shirts and showing their TRUE pride.   In its inaugural year over $80,000 was raised and donated back to fund athletic scholarships and the TRUE Seminole Ambassador program.
